I’m Shelby Kerre, a filmmaker, content creator, and visual storyteller based in Northern Michigan.
After graduating from Oakland University in 2021 with a degree in Cinema Studies and a focus in filmmaking, I’ve spent the last few years building a career that spans commercial, feature film, and non-scripted television work. I’ve worn a lot of hats along the way, including production assistant, art department crew, set photographer, video editor, and producer.
Currently, I create and manage content full-time for Boyne Mountain Resort. I blend storytelling, strategy, and a strong visual eye to connect with audiences in a meaningful way.
Outside of that, I’ve edited television content, including an episode that received a Michigan Regional Emmy as well as Gold and Silver Telly Awards.
I live full-time in Northern Michigan, but I’m always exploring, from downstate cities to remote lakeshores. I’m constantly inspired by the beauty and energy of this region, and I love capturing the essence of outdoor living in my work. Whether I’m shooting digital or experimenting with Super 8, my goal is to create content that feels genuine, engaging, and rooted in story.
